Sandoz, Novartis Recall Prescription Drug Blister Packs That Fail Child Safety Closures

The pharmaceutical companies Sandoz and Novartis issued a voluntary recall of prescription drug blister packages because they do not meet child-resistant closure requirements. The firms have received one report of a child ingesting haloperidol from a blister pack.

The products were distributed at clinics and pharmacies nationwide as a prescribed medicine from September 2016 to June 2018, at varying prices based on quantities prescribed, health insurance terms and other factors.

A
