The FDA approved tirzepatide (Zepbound, Eli Lilly) as the first prescription medicine for adults with moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and obesity. The injectable medication should be used with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity, the company noted in a press release.
