Total-Dose Infusion of Iron Safely Increases Hemoglobin in IDA Patients

A total dose infusion (TDI) protocol of iron sucrose, administered by pharmacists, successfully increased serum hemoglobin for hospital inpatients with iron deficiency anemia (IDA) with minimal adverse events, according to a new retrospective study.
