FDA Approves Phosphate Absorption Inhibitor for Patients With Chronic Kidney Disease on Dialysis

The FDA approved tenapanor (Xphozah, Ardelyx) for reducing serum phosphorus in adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD) on dialysis who only partially respond to phosphate binders or who are intolerant of any dose of phosphate binder therapy.
