Long COVID appears to manifest as a post-viral syndrome indistinguishable from other respiratory illnesses, including seasonal influenza, with no evidence of increased moderate to severe functional limitations one year after infection, according to new research presented at the 2024 ESCMID Global Congress (formerly ECCMID), in Barcelona, Spain (poster 327).
