Antimicrobial stewardship (AMS) is paramount in healthcare and ensures the optimal use of antimicrobials to improve patient outcomes, reduce the risk for antimicrobial resistance and comply with regulatory standards. But while 91% of U.S. acute care hospitals reported monitoring antibiotic resistance patterns at least annually, only 10% of hospitals reported adoption of all the CDC’s priority elements to enhance the quality and impact of existing
