Australian researchers reported a decline in juvenile-onset recurrent respiratory papillomatosis (RRP) due to the broad use of the quadrivalent HPV vaccine (qHPV) in that country. The decline also suggests that RRP is a consequence of the transmission of HPV type 6 or 11 from mother to child during birth.
